Anatomy: A gyrus is a fold or bump in the brain. The cingulate gyrus is located above the corpus callosum. It is an important part of the limbic system.
Function: The cingulate gyrus coordinates sensory input with emotions, controls emotional responses to pain and regulates aggressive behavior. |
