Anatomy: The amygdala is an almond shaped mass of cells located deep within the temporal lobe, near the hypothalamus and the hippocampus.
Function: The amydala has many roles within the body, including arousal, responses associated with fear, emotional responses, hormonal secretions, and memory. |
